Infusion caps Series A to accelerate mission-critical communications tech for national security and resilience

Washington, D.C. – May 8, 2025SEMPRE, the company redefining mission-critical connectivity for defense, disaster response and critical infrastructure, today announced the close of its $14.3 million Series A funding round. The latest capital includes a $2 million investment from Pendrell, a strategic firm focused on transformational technologies, alongside additional funding from existing investors including 90 Degree North. This milestone reflects strong investor confidence and positions SEMPRE to meet rising demand for secure, resilient 5G infrastructure across defense and commercial markets.

The new capital builds on SEMPRE’s $10 million investment round announced in January, co-led by AE Ventures and 90 Degree North Holdings. The completed Series A will fund product advancements, manufacturing scale-up and expanded field operations to support deployments—whether in defense, disaster response or commercial settings.

“This funding isn’t just about capital—it’s about readiness,” said Rob Spalding, Brig Gen, USAF (ret.) and SEMPRE CEO. “We’re solving one of the most urgent challenges in national security: trusted, resilient communications. Our job is to make sure communications don’t break when the pressure’s highest—whether that’s in a contested battlespace, a cyber-compromised city or a blackout zone after a storm. With the support of Pendrell and our existing partners, we’re accelerating delivery of infrastructure that’s built to survive and serve.”

SEMPRE’s hardened system combines private 5G, edge computing, satellite and hybrid cloud into a field-tested solution built to perform in the most demanding conditions. Whether deployed for securing military operations, accelerating disaster recovery, or modernizing industrial sites like smart factories, SEMPRE delivers secure, autonomous, real-time connectivity—even in contested, or infrastructure-compromised environments.

This announcement follows multiple successful demonstrations and announcements of SEMPRE’s technology across the U.S. Department of Defense. Most notably, the U.S. Air Force Global Strike Command.
